A Working Case Study On Blue Hat SEO Tactics

Day 14

This will be a quick post. I just got back in vacation and launched another site. Before I get into the site details I came up with a game plan.

The Game Plan
I’ve decided to take the approach of an army. Cheesy, I know! But basically I want to “attack” certain phrases. Let’s say, for instance, “phrase 1″ and “phrase 2″. For each phrase I am making a pyramid of supporting micro sites. For an example, let’s say I am making a petshop site. I want to target “dogs for sell” and “cats for sell” what I am doing is for “dogs for sell” making a pyramid scheme where the top site is the main pet shop. The rules are simple, each layer in the pyramid links to other sites in it’s layers and to all sites in all layers above it. The top of the pyramid is white hat, and the further down the pyramid you go, the more sites in each layer, and the closer to gray/black hat you get. This utilizes SERP Domination, Empire, and a combination of other tactics Eli and other SEO gurus talk about. Over vacation I diagramed the first phrase out and build the first site in the layer under neath my target site.

The Site
The area of my target site is a large city in America. However a neighboring very small city (yet popular in the area) has a lot of the same “niche keywords” that I am targeting. So I purchased (smallercityNiche).com and have a few sections including the niches for the keyphrase I am targeting in the pyramid + related synonyms based off of adwords keyword tool. This way Google really think it’s related content. I don’t know how many pages the site has, but I am using a huge database w/ Tagging and only done 2 of the 5 sections and well over 50k pages. So it’s a good start, to say the least. Anyways, I have a lot of work to do at my real job, and on these projects. Gotta run, tomorrow I will give a more detailed “current status” report.
